Eneida Pérez de Lücke

Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. From 1982 to 1987 studied at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes (National School of Fine Arts) and Architecture at the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (Autonomous University of Santo Domingo). In April 2003 won for the seventh time the National Women Chess Championship of the Dominican Republic. Art, Chess and the spiritual quest took her to go, passing by New York, to France in 1989, where she had her first solo exhibit at Galería Diagonal (Diagonal Gallery) of Montpellier. Has represented the Dominican Republic in 6 World Chess Olympiads. Became a French citizen, and was a member of the winning team at the Team Championship of 1992 in Lyon. From 1991 to 1993 has attended the School of Fine Arts in Dunkerque/France. In 1993 moved to Germany to take part in a workshop at the Cultural Center of Cologne. In 1995 took the sixth place in the National Chess Championship in Germany. After a stay in her homeland, the Dominican Republic, where she married the International Chess Master Norbert Lücke, returned to Germany. Her work is also influenced by several study tours to India. Since 1996 has lived and worked in Cologne, and has exhibits regularly in various cities in Europe and the Dominican Republic. In 2005 received the Medal of Merit for the Dominican Women, awarded by the Dominican Executive Power.
